On my HTC phones with Android 2.x I could set different volume settings for Ringer and Notifications in Locale, but on my Galaxy Nexus there's only a unified "Ringer and notifications" volume?

I used this for a special condition where notifications volume is set to zero, when the phone is connected to the bluetooth handsfree in my car, otherwise every time I get a notification (email, G+ etc.) it would disrupt what I was listening to in the car.

I can not do this on the Galaxy Nexus, and it's very annoying to have ones favorite radio program disrupted for 2-3 seconds, because of an email that I can't (shouldn't) read, while driving anyway.

I'd like to be able to change the network operator automatically.

For instance, I'm living close to a border and traveling every day from one country to another to go to work On my workplace, I cannot connect to my Home Network, so I'm using a foreign network operator on roaming. No problem with that. But when I go back home on evenings, I unfortunately live too close to the border and still have access to the foreign Network! Therefore, my phone does not switch-back automatically to my home network operator, and I'm still charged roaming costs even when I'm home.

I'm glad that you endlessly optimize the energy consuption of the location plugin and I would like to use it instead of the Locale Cell Plug-in. Although I miss a feature very much, I can't define out of location condition.
Let me explain with an example. I have a condition named "on the road to work" which is actiavated between 7 and 9 in the morning when I'm not at home and not at work.
Unfortunatelly I can't define such a condition with default location plugin. The saved locations would be good also (like in Locale Cell Plug-in)

When I'm at work, Locale sets my phone to silent. If it's in my pocket and I don't notice the vibration, it's no big deal, because I'm at work. But what if someone really needs to get in contact with me? After the fifth missed call with my phone in my pocket, I would really prefer Locale to swap "Silent" for "10% ringer volume". After the sixth, 20%, and so on.

It could also be used to crossover with the Gchat and Auto-sms plugins - After n missed calls, put up a status on google chat "Sorry to whoever's trying to contact me, I don't have my phone nearby." Or, as a battery saving measure, rather than letting someone drain your phone battery by ringing it over and over while you can't get to it, have the phone set itself to airplane mode IF battery < x AND missed calls > n.

All the settings are already in Locale - I just hope for the condition

OK, so it's not that easy to detect if one's phone is in one's pocket, but it would be an awesome condition to incorporate...

The face up / face down condition is great, but it means you have to take the phone out of your pocket to use it. I'm probably not the only one here who would agree that when the phone's in your pocket, turning off bluetooth and switching ring to vibrate would be ideal.

This could either be done using the proximity or light sensor, or more simply achieved by turning the face up / face down condition to include upright, upside down and landscape (for purses or handbags). Sure, it would be difficult to achieve exact orientation, but also offering a definable range/variance would solve this issue.

I have a blue tooth headset that I generally use everywhere, and I have a Bluetooth Hands free feature in my car. I would like to be able to specify that when I am in my car it connects the Hands Free adapter and disconnects the regular headset, and twhen I am out of the car it automatically reconnectss the regular headset. Choice of headset to connect to should be based on several types of conditions:
1) In Card Dock
2) Which Bluetooth devices it can see
3) and/or if no dock available based on charging condition (i.e. USB, Car charger, etc.)
I've seen the condition plugin for the charging condition, and the one for the car dock, but not one that specifies which BT device to use.

You are correct that for many situations I could just toggle the setting in the Default situation. The situation which I'm referring to can not be toggled by the Default situation.

I'm using the Shortcut setting plugin to launch an application at a particular time of day (6:30 - 6:31). I can't have the Default application NOT launch the program or even kill the program as it makes no sense.

So in summary the Situation I'm trying to create would have two Conditions: Orientation - not face down and Time - 6:30 - 6:31 SMTWTFS and the Setting is: Shortcut - Pandora.

Does it make better sense now?
