Google Talk Status / sign-in
It would be really useful to be able to use Locale to control my Google Talk status and/or sign-in and sign-out. For example, if Locale could sign me in at 8am and sign me out at 10pm. Additionally, the ability to set status and status message would be great too, so if I entered my "Work" area, Locale could set my status as Busy and with the status message of "working hard!"

1. Locale Ping.fm Plug-in
2. Locale GTalk Plug-in

Is there anybody still wanted plug-in to switch Google Talk status without 3d party sites?

I wonder if this could be reconsidered? I have installed and configured the ping.fm plugin and it works a treat. HOWEVER, I'm nervous about handing my google credentials over to a third party. If this feature was native to the app and could hook into gtalk on my phone to change the status then I wouldn't need to do that.

If Locale can post to eMail, then using Ping.Fm, HelloTXT or PixelPipe you can update your Google Talk status with a message via their multicaster services.

An excellent idea! To be able to change my Google chat / talk status (message and away/available status) would be very useful.
