SMS Condition from Contact
I would love to see Locale support changing settings based on a SMS message coming in from a contact. Currently, Locale supports changing settings based on a phone call from a contact and doesn't do anything with SMSs from the same contact. I would love Locale to support changing settings based on all actions from a Contact.
This has been implemented by the “Inbound SMS Plug-in” plug-in condition for Locale 1.0. To find this plug-in on the Market, simply open Locale and choose Get Plug-ins from the menu.

I need this. My wife works late nights and I shut down all sound at 12am, but I want anything from her (SMS or Calls) to turn on the ringer/vibrate function.

This is pretty essential... I don't want every single email or drunk dial waking me up, but if a customer's site is down I need to allow their SMS to wake me up...

Exactly the feature I'm looking for. 1am to 8am is silent mode, unless a VIP calls *or texts or sends email.* Then the alert sound comes through. I'd like to see the Contact condition description read: Contact condition notices when the select contacts call, text, or email.

I have suggested an e-mail address as well as SMS because there are certain "escalations" I receive as part of my job. Some come VIA SMS and others come from a specific e-mail address under the same contact. I would like to be able to distinguish these by different alerts sounds.
