Ongoing Notification
The option to have an "Ongoing" notification in the notification bars dragdown menu to indicate which situations are currently active.
(This is less intrusive than notifications in the bar itself)

This is now supported in Locale 1.0. An ongoing notification actually improves the reliability of the app when running on phones with Android 2.0

The way I envisioned this would be like Quick Calendar. It has the option to have an "Ongoing notification" in the dragdown menu, without showing an icon in the notification bar. This is a good tool to indicate wether or not Locale is doing it's job at a particular moment and could also function as a quick launch to the app to let it check location.
