Allow more than one volume type to be set
Current volume setting says it affects ringer and notifications. Can we control those separately? Along with music, voice and alarm volumes?

I'm running beta .68 on my Sprint HTC Hero, I cannot change the volume of the ringer and the volume of the notifications independently under Locale. I can configure them to have different volumes in Android, but I cannot change them in Locale. Any help?

In Locale 0.64, the Volume setting now supports "advanced" mode: ringer and notification volumes can be adjusted independently. I'm closing this request to mark this milestone.
Those interested in media/alarm/voice volume settings should now put their votes here:

I'd like to be able to mute media volume as well as notification/ringer. At the moment Locale only mutes the latter. If we could set the media volume separately, or have an option for the volume setting to be for both, that would be uber helpful

I suggest you tell the people who wrote Toggle Settings that they can't be adjusted independently. They've managed it...

Toggle settings allows you to switch all your volume settings (media, ringer, alarm etc.).
I couldn't think of a reason to automate this though. -

No. They cannot be adjusted independently under Android 1.1.

This along with "headphones plugged in" condition would be awesome!
