Speaker phone on while driving
Automatically turn on the speaker phone when the device is in the car dock and you are not using bluetooth.

This request is actually several requests:
– A driving condition
– A dock condition
– A bluetooth condition
– A speakerphone setting.
Given that each of those is already a separate feature request on this website, and that the Dock Condition and the Speakerphone settings were implemented as plug-ins for Locale already, I’m marking this request as complete.

@tolstoy: Locale already supports Dock mode, with the Locale Dock Plug-in.

Very useful idea, though frankly Android should enable the choice natively as a dock option. Also very helpful would be a Locale setting aware of dock mode in general so that screen timeout could be disabled. Even in the dock, the screen blanks unless doing actual navigation.

A native setting for Local would be greatly preferred though in the mean time you could download the Car Mode app and have it run based on when the phone is in the car dock.

Trying to hit that small speaker button when docked is a pain. This would help lessen driving distractions.
