bypass androids wallpaper compression
Apps like "wallpaper set and save" allow you to set a wallpaper at its true quality, but locale doesn't, would make setting wallpapers a breeze and would mean less pre-processing required.
Android doesn’t provide any options regarding wallpaper compression, so there’s nothing to complete…

WSS renders wallpapers like they're supposed to be. Really, they're beautiful. It's quick, it's easy, and it's simple. Best yet, it's bug free. The native Wallpaper business is to complex and interconnected, and of course, doesn't play nice with Locale.
WSS really is a fantastic replacement.I use wallpapers to indicate Situation, and it's great, when it works, and if I don't mind relativley poorly rendered graphics.
It can also float from portrait to landscape.
