Reduce energy consumption
Hi,
i just switched from the free to the paid app. I was really happy with the free one, but now, after 3 days i see that the paid one consumes miuch more enrgy than the free one.
As far as i can see currently locale has been used about 50% of the enerty after 12 hours. Never mentioned such a drainage before. I'm usinging Locale 1.0.3 on a HTC Magic with Firmware 1.6 (DRC 92) with a Vodafone contract.
i can not see any activity on the phone so i do not know what cauases the drainage. but for sure, it started when i switched to paid.
i would realy appreciate if you could give this a review and would be happy if i could give you more informations to help you solve this.

Locale 1.1 improves battery usage by up to 50%, depending on the device.

I had the exact same experience. I loved the free app on my Droid, but switched to the paid app to take advantage of the dock conditions. Ever since then I have noticed much higher battery drain. This is confirmed to be Locale by the Droid battery usage tools. Problem is so bad that I am thinking about dumping Locale, even though it is by far my favorite app.

Hi Carter,
what new conditions are you talking about? I'm using the defaults as mentiuoned when im entering a location. I read in the forum that we should try to make the circle 2km in size, but how to determine the size. Is it maybe possible to change the color of the circle when below 2 km.
I couldn't find any additional settings, so could you please give me a short hint.tahnx a lot
