I suggest you ...

Add a setting to turn off notification LED

I have the the droid dock by me bed so cannot place the phone face down. The flashing LED keeps the wife awake at night so I want to turn it off in my sleeping condition.

This is implemented by the free Locale Pulse Trackball Plug-in available on the Android Market.. This plug-in is only for the Nexus One, as the notification light is not configurable for earlier devices.

LED not configurable on earlier devices? How can Handcent successfully change the LED color and the frequency of the flash on my Moto Droid?

Apparently there IS a way to control the LED in older devices.

I haven't purchased yet, but this feature will make me instantly buy this app. I'll check back frequently to see if it's added.

In the mean time, keep some electrical tape in your bedside stand. It's not ideal, but it works and she will love you for it. Those sticky dots at office supply stores work, too, and you don't have to rip the tape every night.

Great idea, though. Love it (ran out of votes, though. Catch you next round)!
