The original request is unclear, although from my best understanding I believe this is fully implemented by the Locale Button Plug-in: The button plug-in allows situations to be manually triggered via an Android widget. The buttons can then have a user-configured timeout period.

Carter, I think Ken means something like a timer condition. For example, I am trying to come up with a way that when I am in a no signal area, the radios are disabled so that it doesn't drain the batteries (which it does, surprisingly quickly!).

Now this part is easily implemented using various plug-ins, and enabling Airplane mode as a result. However, once the radio circuits are off, there is no way to detect when a signal is once again present.

The only solution to this that I can see, is to disable Airplane mode after a predefined time. This will allow Locale's conditions to then repeat the signal detection, and if there is still no signal, repeat the process.

I am aware of the timer plugin on the market, but it really doesn't appear to work very well :-(
