The free Day & Night Locale Plug-in is now available on the Android Market. This plug-in implements the original request of detecting sunrise/sunset based on time of year and latitude.

This has been implemented by the third party SMS Auto Respond Plug-in, which is available on the Android Market. https://market.android.com/details?id=com.suttco.locale.telephony.sms

Locale 2.5 (which requires Android 3.0 or later) includes the Shortcut setting built-in, and this built-in version of the Shortcut setting can now open apps as well as app shortcuts.
Today this requires Android 3.0 or later. An upcoming version of Locale will bring this feature to older versions of Android as well.

It would be nice if you could change your background according to the weather. Bright sunny background for the nice days and rainy back ground for rainy days.
