This has been implemented by a 3rd party developer, yay! Please look for the Locale WiMAX / 4G Plug-in on the Android Market which is a paid download. https://market.android.com/details?id=com.acbpocketsoft.localewimax

Note that although this plug-in should work great today, it uses private Android APIs which are subject to change and break with future Android/EVO updates.
