Wi-Fi location training is now available as a feature in Locale 1.2. It can be found under the Menu of the Location condition.
We strongly discourage the use of third party location conditions or Wi-Fi conditions. These are less accurate and require more battery power. Instead, users should use the built-in Location condition and use Wi-Fi training if necessary.

At long last Locale 3.0 introduces the Calendar condition to detect events on your Google Calendar, Exchange Calendar, or any other calendar supported by Android.
While Locale 3.0 is available for Android 2.2 or later, the Calendar condition requires Android 4.0 or later. To learn more about Locale 3.0, please see our release notes here http://blog.twofortyfouram.com/post/19303488607/locale-3-0

A 3rd party developer has created a plug-in called “Locale Lockscreen Plug-in” that implements this feature request.
This plug-in can be found by choosing the “Get Plug-ins” menu item within Locale.

I don't know if it's possible for apps to bypass the lock pattern in order to turn it off, but it would be stupendous if this were possible. Normally I don't use the lock pattern, but it would be nice to have it turn on with the default setting. That way, if my phone were lost or stolen, I wouldn't have to worry about suckers getting all up in my bizness.

This is implemented by two third party plug-ins:
1. Locale Ping.fm Plug-in
2. Locale GTalk Plug-inBoth of these are available on the Android Market.]

It seems like it would be much easier to let users save personal Wi-Fi locations in the settings of the app. I could enter a SSID and pinpoint my location on the map and whenever that signal is picked up, in knows exactly where I am. Then when I leave that Wi-Fi signal, GPS would turn back on. I might be missing something, but this seems like a very viable option for an app like this.
